ICP Electronics Australia introduces the ICP DAS EC4-A16, a compact 16-channel EtherCAT digital output module designed for high-performance industrial automation and distributed I/O applications. Built for modern control systems, the EC4-A16 delivers fast and reliable communication using the EtherCAT protocol, enabling real-time control in demanding industrial environments.
The module provides 16 isolated digital output channels, each capable of driving loads up to 500 mA with up to 40 VDC load voltage, making it suitable for controlling relays, actuators, indicators, and other field devices. With 3000 VDC isolation protection, the EC4-A16 enhances system stability and protects connected equipment from electrical interference and transient conditions.
Designed with flexibility in mind, the EC4-A16 supports high-speed EtherCAT communication with cycle times as low as 100 µs, ensuring precise synchronization and responsive control across distributed automation systems. Status LED indicators for each channel allow operators to quickly monitor output activity and troubleshoot system conditions.
Its slim 17.5 mm DIN-rail form factor allows easy installation in control cabinets where space is limited, making it an ideal choice for scalable and modular automation architectures.
