ICP Electronics Australia is proud to introduce ICP DAS’s PCIe-S112. Offers two RS-232 serial ports are available on the PCIe-S112 series card. It has 256-byte hardware FIFO for each port, allows full-duplex communication, and operates at speeds of up to 921600 bps.

On I version PCIe cards, the serial ports’ data lines are designed with photocouplers. The onboard photo couplers maintain the data lines electrically segregated while transferring a signal between circuit components along a brief optical transmission path. It can significantly reduce ground loops, common mode voltages, and voltage spikes. It also helps to give electrical isolation and significant protection from dangerous over-voltage situations that could damage both circuits in one circuit.

The onboard ESD protection component (for the I version) diverts the potentially harmful charge away from sensitive circuits in severe industrial situations to shield the computer and equipment from the brief and intense electric current.

The serial communication cards are made for use with computers, instrumentation equipment, bar code readers, serial printers, intelligent sensors, and nearly any other device with an RS-232 connection.

There are drivers available for a wide range of operating systems, including Linux Kernel 2.4X/2.6X 4.15 and 32/64-bit Windows XP/2003/2008/7/8/10.
